Not Sure which Keyboard to Purchase?

No need to panic. Here is what to look out for when purchasing a keyboard/ electric piano for the first time.

1. Eventually you are going to play with a pedal, so make sure that the keyboard has an input at the rear end to connect a pedal. (In layman's terms, there should be a hole at the back of the keyboard to connect a pedal). Note that this is NOT the same place to connect your headphones.

2. Ensure that the keyboard does NOT say "midi", as this is not actually a keyboard, rather, it is used in the recording studio.

3. Number 3 is optional (depending on your budget). The keys should be heavy weighted instead of light weighted. (Heavy weighted keys feel like a real piano).
